A trip to Lapland has been requested by a number of members and as we are here to please, this is it, we will visit Swedish Lapland!<\/em><\/p>\n

Since our last visit to Lapland prices have gone through the roof and we had to shop around. We have found our partner in Nordic<\/a>, a Belgian travel company specialising in the North. Flights will therefore leave from Brussels airport.<\/p>\n

Prometheus will arrange a bus to take us to the airport and return us after the trip to Delft.<\/p>\n

The flight times are not yet known. If the flight leaves very early in the morning, we will travel to Brussels one day earlier and stay at an airport hotel. Prices have been requested from the Van de Valk hotel.<\/p>\n

We will fly from Brussels to Kittil\u00e4 airport and will stay in hotel Arctic River Lodge<\/a>, quite a small accommodation which is perfect for this Prometheus group. We will stay on a basis of Full Board.<\/p>\n

Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sunday March 22nd<\/sup><\/strong>
\nWe will depart from Brussels airport and fly with SN Brussels Airlines to Kittil\u00e4. Upon landing we will transfer into the coach driving towards the hotel. During the drive we will take a short break to visit to the impressive Lainio Snow Village where we can enjoy a soup lunch before we travel onto T\u00e4rend\u00f6 and our hotel where dinner will be served.<\/p>\n

Monday March 23rd<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n

After breakfast it\u2019s time to get active! We are meeting up with Husky dogs to make a tour into the Swedish wilderness. We will divide into couples and one of the participants will be the musher whilst the other enjoys the ride. Halfway around, if you desire, you can switch over. After our morning\u2019s exercise its back to the hotel for lunch. Your afternoon is free to spend as you wish. You may enjoy cross country skiing, snow walking or perhaps the sauna (not include in the price).<\/p>\n

After dinner you need to get back into your outdoor clothes for the flame torch tour as we go in search of the Northern lights.<\/p>\n

Tuesday March 24th<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n

Enjoy breakfast and a free morning before we prepare for the exciting afternoon programme.
\nAfter lunch we will be discovering the area on snow scooters. There will be plenty of time for both of you to drive the scooter. Drivers must be in possession of a Dutch Driving Licence B (or compatible)<\/p>\n

Dinner this evening is unique. Get back into your outdoor clothes as dinner is outside in at traditional Lavvu tent, the original Sami home. This will be an unforgettable evening as we gather around the campfire and enjoy dinner under the stars,<\/p>\n

Wednesday March 25th<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n

After breakfast it\u2019s once again time to dress for the outside world. Our guide will meet us at the hotel, and we are going on a guided tour to learn more about the nature of this area. You will be wearing snow shoes, this activity is interesting but also great fun too.
\nWe will enjoy lunch outdoors by the fire before we move onto our next activity. The ultimate adrenaline kick \u2013 a snow buggy tour. Driving along the river over a challenging route, this is another holiday highlight. The drive is long enough for everybody to get behind the wheel. For those interested there is also an opportunity to try your hand at ice fishing.
\nAt the end of this active day we will return to the hotel for dinner and to exchange our adventure stories by the open fire.<\/p>\n

Thursday March 26th<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n

After breakfast it is already time to say goodbye to Lapland, and we will return to Delft via Kittil\u00e4, and Brussels Airport.
\nTo participate in this trip, you must be very mobile and have a good general health. This is an unique holiday; those who have not earlier travelled to Lapland with Prometheus will have priority over those who already participated in a Lapland trip.<\/p>\n

Direct flights Brussels to Kittil\u00e4 including 8kg hand luggage and 20kg checked in baggage.
\nAll transfers in Sweden
\nHotel accommodation in twin or double rooms with private bathroom
\nAll meals from the lunch on our first day (breakfast buffet, soup lunch, 3 course evening meal)
\nWater is available all day, coffee tea and berry juice will be available during meals in the restaurant.
\nAll activities mentioned in the programme
\nSmall explore the North groups with professional guides and activity assistants all speaking English.
\nThe use of expedition clothes, including winter boots, feather gloves and hat.
\nFree use of hotel snow shoes, cross country ski\u2019s and scooter ski\u2019s
\nVAT and costs related to the Guarantee fund for holiday companies.
\nExtensive tourist information relating to the trip, including local tips, clothing advice and photography.
\nAccess to the Norther Lights app for a real time prognosis
\nCO2<\/sub>-compensation for the trip www.nordic.be\/duurzaamheid\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Not included in the Nordic travelplan
\n<\/strong>Prometheus will arrange a bus from the Aula to Brussels Airport and the return journey.
\nAll monies for drinks, personal spending and should it be needed hotel costs at Brussels Airport.
\nWe advise all participants to check they have travel and cancellation insurance
\nYou can insure the items you hire in Sweden and so not have any own risk. That costs 280 Swedish Krone. The Own Risk is 12000 Swedish Krone in case of damage.
\nSupplement for seating on the flight \u20ac16 for a regular chair and \u20ac23 for a chosen chair, \u20ac35 for a chair with extra leg room<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The price of the holiday, based on 2 sharing in a double or twin room is \u20ac1819 each.
\nSingle room supplement is \u20ac 300
