On Saturday, September 12th, we’re heading to charming Gouda with Prometheus for Open Monument Day! On this special day, around 70 historic sites will open their doors to the public. Visit historic buildings, listen to fascinating stories, and enjoy music, guided tours, and performances in downtown Gouda.
We’ll start the day with a gathering at Berg’s Bakery for coffee and a syrup waffle baking workshop. During this workshop, you’ll learn how to make authentic Gouda syrup waffles yourself. The workshop is suitable for everyone ages 7 and up.
Schedule
8:00 AM – Bus departs from the TU Delft Auditorium
9:00 AM – Group 1 has coffee / Group 2 starts syrup waffle baking workshop
9:45 AM – Group 1 syrup waffle baking workshop / Group 2 has coffee
10:30 AM – Free time to visit Gouda and its monuments
4:45 PM – Bus departs back to Delft

Children under 18 may ride the bus for free. They can be registered via prometheus@tudelft.nl so a seat on the bus can be reserved.
