Aalsmeer Flower Auction and Historical Garden

The Netherlands is world renown for their flowers. 

Join us at a visit to the world’s largest flower auctions in Aalsmeer. To see the action we need to get up early and we leave the Aula at 7 am. During this tour behind the scenes you will see the pickers moving flowers in an unfathomable way but one which certainly works, and hear about the latest developments for producers and customers. After our visit to the flower auctions we will head to the Historical Garden which is also located in Aalsmeer. Here coffee and tea await along with the local pastry – a Turfje. After our coffee break, the guides will tell us more about the Historical Gardens. We have organised a couple of boats to then take us around this unusual area, the Westeinderplassen, which lies under the Schiphol flight paths. It’s an area full of islands and unique waterways. Once we return to the historical gardens it’s time to test your auction skills as we will be purchasing real flowers during an auction. Can you get the best flowers at the lowest price?

 Participation costs € 35 each. If you have a Museumjaarkaart then there is a €6 discount. You must bring your museumjaarkaart along.

Participation by the member is compulsory.

The price for the daytrip with an annual museum card will be added very soon.
