A trip around the wine world

Taste wines made with the same grape in the new world and a wine grown and made into wine in the ‘new’  world, identify the difference and choose which you prefer. The wine list reads a trip around the world

We will start with the wine with my favourite name – Vonkelwijn, originating from Zuid Afrika.

During this wine tasting at Van der Helm in Pijnacker we will be tasting the following wines:

• Starting with a sparkling wine: Vonkelwijn van Simonsig


• French Pinot Gris from the Elzas vs an Italian Pino Grigio


• Ellermann Spiegel Spatburgunder (German) vs Salentein Pinot Noir from Argentina


• Kendall Jackson Zinfandel (Californië) tegenover de 1954 Primitivo (Italie)


• Finishing with a Spanish PX (dessert sherry/wine)
