Oyster picking Yerseke

A unique seaside experience: discover, taste, and collect your own oysters!

Join us for a special day in Yerseke, Zeeland, filled with nature, great company, and of course… oysters.

The day starts in a relaxed way with coffee, tea or lemonade and a delicious traditional Zeeland “bolus.” After that, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the harbor and oyster pits, where you’ll learn more about oyster farming and its background.

Next, we head out with Eco Oester to a tidal oyster bed. Guide Ko will tell you all about oysters, oyster cultivation, and the unique ecosystem of the area. During the tour, he will open fresh oysters straight from the sea for you to taste – it doesn’t get any fresher than this!

The tour is also fun for children aged 7 and up, who can, for example, go searching for small crabs.

We conclude the excursion with a relaxed get-together including a snack (fish platter) and a drink (beer, wine, or soft drinks). And the highlight: you can take home up to 10 kilos of oysters (approx. 100 pieces) per person to enjoy later.

08:15 – departure by bus
10:00 – welcome with coffee/tea/lemonade and bolus
10:30 – guided tour of harbor and oyster pits
12:00 – oyster picking with Eco Oester (duration: approx. 3 hours)

- 1 bucket and a large plastic bag per person
- Rain gear (optional)
